"It Is Well With MY Soul"

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Refrain:
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.

Refrain

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

Refrain

And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
Even so, it is well with my soul.

Refrain

hopefully you're posting this only because you like the hymn, not because something happened that prompted you to sing it! Also, I thought you were at the market?

Mainly I like it the hymn. Nothing worse then a sister or brother not listening. :)

I was at market. :D The joys of Scheduled posting.

Have you heard that song by Kutless?
I think it is really good. They use all of the word of the song(some people don't). But it is a little rock-y. So it was changed there.

I have not, I don't think I've heard it on any CD except for Instrumental.

I've heard a couple of their CDs. I like some of the music, but not all of it, when it comes to hymns I like them to be closer to how they were written to be played. :D
