Of all the times to start a blog, I think during kidding season and the Houston Livestock Show is the worst time to start one. Yet here I am starting a blog the day before I go to the Livestock Show for three days, for the Dairy goat show. I don't know what I was thinking!
So, please bear with me as I figure this all out and get my bearings for something "new". :D
I am Katie, the oldest daughter to Tim and LeeAnne. I live at home with my parents and 10 siblings, we all work together to make our Grade A Dairy Goat Farm run smoothly. I help with the milking, animal care, and showing. At the same time I run my own business selling soaps, lotions, salves, and more.
Yes, this is a busy life! Yet it's the life that God has given me and I am thankful for that and would not trade it for anything!
Naturally Texan is partly named after my business Swede Farm Naturals and has Texan added in since I am was born and raised in Texas and loving every minute of it, I am proud to be known as a native Texan! This blog is to talk about life on a Dairy farm with a large family. Since my mom has already started a blog along the same lines, mine is a blog from the "Farm Managers" view, or the daughters/oldest sisters view. Just to even things out. :D
